Commercial Sales Manager

Dilawri Group is now actively searching for a Commercial Sales Manager to join our team at Thorncrest Ford.
This position is responsible for managing the interface, the tendering process,
sales and follow-up for fleet accounts. Supports the Sales Department team, as
necessary.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a portfolio of business accounts for the Commercial and Fleet Division.
Identify, prospect, and engage new clients while nurturing relationships with existing customers.
Collaborate with businesses, federal, provincial, and municipal agencies to secure automobile fleet contracts through proactive tendering.
Keep abreast of the manufacturer’s product and program novelties involving fleet and retail sales.
Participate in manufacturer-organized activities for corporate customers.
Ensure all fleet products delivered meet excellent quality standards.
Oversee the preparation and on-time delivery of vehicles to clients.
Conduct post-delivery follow-ups to address customer feedback and maintain long-term relationships.
Submit monthly forecasts for automobile and truck fleet deliveries to the General Manager.
Monitor and manage payments owing to the dealership for delivered fleets and corporate account vehicles.
Prepare invoices and follow up on accounts receivable.
Build trust and demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction.
Discuss vehicle product performance, functionality, and advantages, including optional equipment.
Explain terms and conditions governing long-term leases versus traditional purchase arrangements.
Conduct road tests with potential customers.
Lead the preparation and submission of tender proposals for fleet and commercial vehicle contracts.
Ensure compliance with deadlines, specifications, and legal/financial requirements.
Work closely with internal departments (service, parts, and finance) to deliver a comprehensive customer experience.
Monitor industry trends and local market conditions to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Take part in management meetings and other activities as required.
Attend trade shows, networking events, and community initiatives to represent the dealership.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in fleet or commercial vehicle sales (3-5 years preferred).
Strong background in sales and customer service with a drive for excellence.
Leadership abilities and strong negotiation skills.
Valid Ontario Driver’s License and OMVIC License (required).
Experience with dealership software such as OneEighty, vAuto, and AutoAlert (an asset).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and dealership management software.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally when needed.
