Docksteader Subaru is currently looking to fill a position of a General
Manager.
Essential Duties:
- Guide all salespersons/sales managers in setting their
objectives on a long and short-range basis.
- Direct the sales managers to set sales and gross
objectives for new vehicle salespeople.
- Assist the Regional General Manager in forecasting
controllable expense elements for the Variable and Fixed Department.
- Communicate with sales managers to ensure that
dealership policies and procedures are understood.
- Follow and enforce all company policies, procedures,
and processes.
- Review with sales managers the quarterly reports on
the gross performance of new vehicle salespeople.
- Assist in developing programs of improvement for the
sales department to reach their objectives.
- Conduct daily and/or weekly sales training meetings as
directed by the Regional General Manager.
- Oversee the efforts of enhancing the image of the
dealership.
- Ensure that Product Knowledge is maintained at a very
high level.
- Ensure that the New Vehicle Delivery process is
followed closely.
- Review the handling of incoming sales calls.
- Assist salespeople in closing deals.
- Keep an accurate account of floor traffic.
- Attend Managers’ meetings as required.
- Serve as liaison with factory representatives.
All successful applicants must possess the following
qualities:
- Minimum 5 years of experience
as a General Manager in an Automotive Dealership.
- Superior management,
leadership, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle and
resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure high standards are
held for delivery of vehicles to customers.
- Ensure that sales
representatives understand and follow dealership policies at all times.
- Excellent communication
skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers; subordinates
and other management.
- Be extremely organized.
- Attention to detail.
- Be self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a team
environment to achieve common goals.
- Experience with internet and
retail tools, 180 and ADP.
- Valid VSA License is
required.
