Lube Technician

Vancouver Honda is currently looking to fill a
position of a Lube Technician.
To assist with the
Service and Parts department where needed throughout the day to help with
workflow and vehicle maintenance during service appointments (e.g., washing of
vehicles, picking up customers/or dropping them off, parking and picking up
vehicles from lot etc.)
Essential Duties:
- Rearrange
vehicles to maximize space and maintain vehicle lot.
- Verify
receipt of new vehicles delivered; sign and date bill of lading, and
forward to administration department
- Examine
vehicles to detect damage and confirm presence of noted accessories on
invoice (i.e., spare tires, radio and stereo equipment)
- Record damage
descriptions and note missing items on delivery report to facilitate
damages claim from manufacturer
- Register and
store keys
- Wash and
clean new vehicles, as required
- Transfer sold
vehicles to new vehicle preparation department
- Service
vehicles in storage to protect battery, tires and finish against damage
- Travel to
license office daily to pick up and deliver information
- Use
preventative measures such as installing locking wheel nuts to guard
against theft of vehicles, tires and other items
- Assist in
dealer trade deliveries
- Follow all
company and manufacturer policies, directives and procedures
- Comply with
required health and safety regulations
- Perform any
other duties as required
Qualifications:
- High school
diploma
- 2-3 years
service department experience, an asset
- Basic
mechanical knowledge
- Excellent
organization and multi-tasking abilities
- Physical
strength to lift up to 50 pounds
- Good agility
for installation of wheel locks
- Strong
observation skills for inspecting incoming vehicles
- Ability to
work in extreme temperatures
- Clean driving
record
- Manual
dexterity
