Group is now actively searching for a Director of Fleet &
Commercial Sales to join the team at Thorncrest Ford.
As the Director of Fleet
& Commercial Sales, you will be responsible for developing and
executing strategies to grow our brand and sales. You will lead a dedicated
team, cultivate relationships with key business clients, and oversee the entire
fleet sales process to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
Essential Duties:
- Solicit business accounts for the commercial and fleet division
- Keep abreast of the manufacturer’s product and program novelties
involving the automobile fleet and retail sales
- Keep in touch with businesses and federal, provincial and municipal
agencies and departments, with a view to obtaining automobile fleet
contracts, using the tendering process in a proactive manner
- Ensure that all fleet products delivered are of excellent quality
- Submit monthly forecasts for deliveries of fleets of automobiles
and trucks to the General Manager
- Monitor payments owing to the Dealership for fleets delivered and
for corporate account cars, as well as amounts owing from vehicle rental
companies
- Prepare the invoices and follow-up on accounts receivable
- Build a relationship of trust and demonstrate serious commitment to
customer satisfaction
- Discuss the vehicle’s product performance, functioning and
advantages; describe any optional equipment the customer might purchase
- Perform road tests with vehicle for any potential customer
- Explain the terms and conditions governing long-term leases, as
compared to traditional purchase arrangements, based on customer need.
- Drive vehicles
- Participate in activities organized by the manufacturer for
corporate customers
- Take part in management meetings, as required
- Maintain professional appearance at all times
- Perform other tasks, based on management requirements and
instructions
All successful applicants must possess the following qualities:
- Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills with a track record of closing large deals.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities with corporate and government clients.
- Knowledge of brand fleet and commercial vehicle lineup is an asset.
- Strong understanding of fleet financing, leasing, and incentive programs.
- Highly organized with excellent strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
- Strong professional background in sales and customer service
- Drive for excellence
- Strong leadership abilities
- Valid Driver’s License for Ontario
- Valid OMVIC License
- Experience with OneEighty, vAuto, and AutoAlert an asset
