Mercedes-Benz North Vancouver is currently looking to fill the position of a Paint Preparation Technician.
Job Duties:
- Remove exterior
trims and hardware
- Identify and
evaluate all painting surfaces to determine the proper level of repair
- Identify and
apply corrosive-resistant primers and topcoats for fiberglass and plastic
- Sand, spot
fill, price and condition areas of repair
- Mask and tape
for multi-tone work or to protect areas that do not require painting
- Apply
primers, acrylic enamel, polyurethane, base coat, clear coat and other
types of paint using spray painting guns
- Mix paint to
blend and match colors
- Dry or bake
newly painted areas
- Apply decals,
transfers, stencils, specialty refinishing and detailing
- Other duties
as required
Ideal
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of
previous experience in automotive painting
- The ability
to work well in a team environment
- Strong
attention to detail
- Education in
automotive painting an asset
