Vancouver Honda is currently looking to fill the position of a Junior Parts Advisor.
Under the responsibility
of the Parts Manager, the Junior Parts Advisor is responsible for prompt and
courteous servicing of all parts customers. Junior Parts Advisor sell
replacement parts. In most cases customers and technicians know exactly
which part they need. In these cases, consultants just find the part in
the inventory or order the part requested. In other
cases, advisor must help customers and technicians determine which
part(s) they need. They look at old parts and ask customers and
technicians questions about the particular part or vehicle. Using this
information, they often are able to determine the replacement parts. Then
they look up the stock number for the parts, using computers or catalogs.
Once they have all the parts a customer and technician need, consultants
prepare sales slips and add up the charges. They may also have to order
necessary parts to fill an order.
Essential
Duties:
- Assist retail
and wholesale customers in ordering parts
- Maintain
parts inventory and availability
- Determine
replacement parts by inspecting old parts or listening to customers
descriptions of the parts.
- Advice
customers on substitution or modification of parts when exact replacement
is not available.
- Prepare sales
slips or sales invoices.
- Examine
returned parts for defects.
- Exchange
defective parts or refund money.
- Receive and
fill telephone orders for parts.
- Mark and
store parts in stockroom according to prearranged system.
- Communicate
with people from outside the organization.
- Sell parts
and accessories
- Provide
advice and consultation to customers with regards to parts.
- Purchase
replacement parts as required.
- Greet
customers in a courteous manner.
- Maintain
workstation and parts department area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Complete
assigned tasks on time.
- Other related
duties as assigned by management.
