ABOUT THE ROLE

 

We are looking for an Estimator to join our team at Dilawri Collision Centre. The successful candidate is someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eager to contribute to our growing team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·      Proactively write service estimates

·      Maintain excellent relationships between dealerships, insurance companies and Collision Centre customers and staff

·      Estimate all incoming damaged vehicles to capture all visual damages; review damages with body technician and ensure proper repair time is estimated to ensure repairs are completed as per industry standards

·      Perform daily walkthroughs in service areas of new and preowned vehicle lots to observe state of all vehicles, proactively prospecting for customer paid, internal and warranty collision and paint business

·      Ensure coverage of Collision Centre desk at all times

·      Perform daily quality control checks before scheduling deliveries to customers; point out any areas of concern to body technician assigned to the vehicle, correct defects, as required; report daily quality control issues to Body Shop Supervisor and/or  to customers

·      Ensure all deliveries are handled in professional manner, explaining all areas of repairs as per the estimates with invoice to reflect repairs and document all dockets with notes and delivery dates

 

ABOUT YOU

·      Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive damage appraiser is required for this role

·      Experience with Mitchell, Audatex and Ultramate software considered an asset

·      Proficient with MS Office (MS Word/Excel, MS Outlook)

·      Experience with CDK

·      Thorough knowledge of estimating, invoicing and paper flow

·      Experience in mechanical and bodywork an asset

·      Exceptional customer relationship builder

·      Excellent oral and written communication skills

·      Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills

·      Meticulous focus and attention to detail to complete and close documentation

·      Ability to take ownership of problems

·      Work well in a team environment to achieve collision centre goals
