Position Overview
The Assistant Pre‑Owned Sales Manager at Mercedes-Benz Boundary plays a key leadership role in supporting the dealership’s pre‑owned sales
operations. Reporting directly to the Pre‑Owned Sales Manager and General Sales
Manager, this position contributes strategically by driving team performance,
optimizing inventory management, ensuring an exceptional customer experience,
and supporting the achievement of departmental sales targets. The role is also
responsible for coaching and developing the sales team while maintaining strong
customer relationships throughout the sales process.
The expected pay for this position is commission‑based.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in fostering a team‑oriented environment,
promoting collaboration and cooperation throughout the dealership.

Lead daily and monthly sales meetings as
required.
·
Ensure customers receive an unmatched ownership
experience by remaining actively involved in sales inquiries, supporting
effective sales practices, and engaging directly with guests early in the sales
process.

Provide direction and guidance to sales
consultants throughout the customer journey.
·
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
by resolving customer issues related to dealership, personnel, or product.
·
Conduct management customer callbacks to support
maximizing the store’s closing ratio.
·
Assist in coordinating inventory available for
sale, including lot and showroom display, vehicle cleanliness, pricing, and
presentation.

Appraise and evaluate the retail potential of
vehicles with strong awareness of local and national resale markets.
·
Support and maintain updates of pre‑owned
inventory across public listings (e.g., Auto Trader, Motor Trader).
·
Recruit, train, coach, develop, and motivate the
sales team with a focus on meeting individual goals and achieving departmental
targets.
·
Perform other duties as required by management.
Qualifications Required
·
Minimum 5 years of experience in an automotive
sales role.
·
Minimum 3 years of experience in a management
role.
·
Proven leadership skills with the ability to
motivate a team and drive results.
·
Strong desire to exceed customer expectations.
·
Excellent judgment and problem‑solving skills.
·
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and
relationship‑building skills.
·
Excellent written and verbal communication
abilities.
·
Ability to respond effectively to the needs of a
diverse client base.
·
Broad product knowledge and experience
appraising vehicles of all makes.
·
Intermediate MS Office skills.
·
Valid VSA license.
·
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
