Position Overview
Mercedes-Benz North Vancouver is seeking a Dispatcher to support
the efficient operations of our Service Department. Reporting to the Service
Manager, the Dispatcher plays a key role in maximizing workshop utilization by
prioritizing and assigning work to technicians based on skill level,
availability, and workflow requirements. This role supports overall service
performance by coordinating technician capacity, ensuring timely completion of
repair orders, maintaining communication across the service team, and
supporting sublet vendor activity. The Dispatcher contributes strategically to
maintaining productivity, safety, and operational excellence within the shop.
The annual salary for this position is $62,811.54.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Prioritize and dispatch repair work to
technicians in a fair and efficient manner.

Maintain awareness of overall shop capacity,
efficiency, and productivity.
·
Monitor technician availability and promptly
communicate absences or delays to the Shop Foremen, Service Advisors, and
Service Management.

Support production goals by coordinating
internal repair orders and pre‑delivery inspections.
·
Ensure internal work is completed in a timely
and organized manner.
·
Identify and communicate opportunities to
enhance workshop productivity and efficiency.
·
Manage all sublet vendors performing work for
the service department.
·
Report any actions or infractions that may
impact shop performance, integrity, or safety to management.
·
Answer incoming calls related to service
inquiries and schedule appointments when required.
Qualifications Required
·
Strong organizational skills with the ability to
manage workflow and prioritize tasks.
·
Effective communication skills to support
coordination between technicians, advisors, and management.
·
Ability to make fair, balanced, and timely
decisions under pressure.
·
Knowledge of service department operations or
automotive processes is an asset.
·
Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability
to identify efficiency opportunities.
·
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced
environment.
·
Competence with computer systems and scheduling
tools.
·
High level of professionalism and attention to
detail.
·
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
