Position Overview
Mercedes-Benz Langley is currently seeking a General Shop
Helper to join our team. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role
supports the service department by ensuring the shop, equipment, and vehicles
are maintained to the highest standards. The General Shop Helper plays a key
role in delivering operational efficiency and contributing to a safe,
organized, and customer-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity
for someone looking to start or grow a career in the automotive industry.
The expected pay for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the
service shop, bays, and surrounding work areas
·
Assist technicians and service staff with
general shop tasks and vehicle movement
·
Wash and detail customer and inventory vehicles
as required
·
Ensure tools, equipment, and service areas are
properly maintained and stored
·
Shuttle vehicles within the dealership and
assist with lot organization
·
Support receiving, stocking, and organizing
parts and shop supplies
·
Dispose of waste and hazardous materials in
accordance with safety and environmental regulations
·
Assist with general maintenance duties and minor
facility upkeep
·
Adhere to workplace health and safety standards
at all times
·
Provide support to Service Advisors and other
departments as needed
Qualifications Required
·
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
·
Previous experience in automotive or general
labour roles is considered an asset
·
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving
record
·
Strong attention to detail and commitment to
quality work
·
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and
manage multiple tasks
·
Strong teamwork skills with a positive and
professional attitude
·
Good communication skills, both verbal and
written
·
Ability to lift and move heavy items and perform
physical tasks throughout the day
·
Self-motivated with the ability to work
independently with minimal supervision
·
Legally entitled to work in Canada
